I moved to Des Moines about 11 years ago, and I had a hard time finding good rides to do. I don't mean good planned rides, I mean I had a hard time finding out where I should go on a ride by myself. I didn't know what was going on in the area, or where the good trails were. I knew I could hop on a trail and go past a few bars, or restaurants. I might stop and have a drink and get something to eat or something like that, but then I would find out later that another location had a band playing. I wanted something that would help me find what was going on along the trails, and a quick way to map out that ride in Des Moines. That's what we are trying to build with dsmbiking.com. Looks like your map has some closures but not all. A thing we would love is a one stop shop for path closures, but I know that would be a tough thing to keep updated. Always sucks if we are heading on a route with a planned destination only to learn it’s partially closed.
