Ride Guide: 515 Brewing to Cumming Tap

Riding from 515 to Cumming Tap is a very popular ride in the Des Moines area. It's an easy ride with decent miles. Head through Water Works Park, until you go over the Water Works Bridge, and take a right. You'll ride through the park and cut over to The Great Western Trail. The Great Western Trail will take you behind the DSM Airport, and through the heart of Willow Creek Golf Course. After that you'll hit Orilla, where you can stop at The Chicken for something to eat, or Outskirtz for a drink. You can also just keep going to Cumming Tap if you'd prefer.

This ride is a fun ride with good miles. As of writing this however it is a very bumpy trail. If you're on a road bike with small tires, be prepared to watch for cracks. If you're on a fat bike, or gravel bike, you will have no issues with the trail quality.

Use the attached GPX file as a suggested map for this ride. On your phone, use a GPX app like Ride With GPS, or GPX Viewer. Whatever your preference is, you should be able to load the file to it.
